FORMALIN MONITOR

OSHA Regulations The Occupational Safety and  Health   Administration demands the monitoring of Formaldehyde vapor concentration in work space and laboratory where these chemicals are being used.

OSHA has defined  the Permissible Exposure  Limit (PEL) and  also requires  the   Laboratory  to keep records of the exposure limit such that  remedial action can  be taken when the exposure limit exceeds OSHA Regulations The Occupational Safety and  Health   Administration demands the monitoring of Formaldehyde vapor concentration in work space and laboratory where these chemicals are being used. Inhalation of Formalin Vapors more than the permissible levels causes adverse health effects.

The safe limit of exposure, according to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines, is an average of 0.75 PPM over an 8-hour period. A person can be exposed to a maximum amount of formaldehyde concentration of 2.0 PPM for no more than 15 minutes
